To ensure the safety and well-being of young participants, Kanata Race Day adheres to Athletics Canada's guidelines regarding age-appropriate race distances.
According to these recommendations, children should not participate in 5K or 10K events until they have reached puberty, as longer distances may pose health risks to developing bodies. Therefore, children must meet the minimum age requirements for these distances to register.
We appreciate your understanding and commitment to fostering a safe and enjoyable environment for all runners.

We encourage 1K runners to bring along an adult if they want. There is no registration fee for adult running buddies in the 1K, but adults won’t be timed.
